Malaysian Falun Gong practitioners holding the press conference
to clarify the untrue report by news media

On 1st July 2004, few untrue reports about Falun Gong were published in news media. Then few political parties’ officials made public announcement that they have no connection with Falun Gong.

A press conference was held in a hotel conference room. The first item being clarified is the registration issue. At present, Falun Gong is a legally registered non-profit company that is Falun Dafa Research Centre Sdn. Bhd., instead of not a properly registered body as reported on the newspapers.

The practitioner then explained to the reporters that Falun Gong has actually no formal organization. It is adopting a loose management. Everybody is welcome to learn the practice and it is free of charge. They are free to come or not to come for the practice. Irregardless of the legal registration, Falun Gong practitioners are free to do exercise their bodies to improve their health and to cultivate their minds to improve their moral characters the ancient Chinese way. The purposes for the registration, is for the convenience to conducts some public activities and dispels public’s misunderstandings.

In the past, there were few reports indicating that Falun Gong is interfering with the Chinese internal affairs, anti-China, instigating the public, or seeking the support from political party. The practitioner explained that after practicing Falun Gong, practitioners should not participate in any political activity. Moreover, the founder of Falun Gong Mr. Li Hongzhi has clearly requested that Falun Gong practitioner is not allowed to participate in political activity. Otherwise he cannot be regarded as Falun Gong practitioner.

Falun Gong practitioners are not against any government or country. What they are doing is aligned with the principle of Truthfulness- Compassion-Forbearance, to clarifying the truth of Falun Gong, by peaceful and rational way, to stop the persecution in China.
